About Bugwise
The partnerships
BugWise first began in 2004. The project was a partnership between the Australian Museum, Conservation Volunteers Australia and Rio Tinto, supported by Coal & Allied Community Trust. Today, BugWise has evolved into one that still has a presence in the Hunter, but has also moved outside the Hunter Valley and into other regional areas in NSW.
We gratefully acknowledge the continued support of the Coal & Allied Community Trust for BugWise Outreach 07 in the Hunter Valley, and also thank the NSW Environmental Trust for financial support in taking the BugWise to other areas in NSW.
The science behind BugWise
The Australian Museum is involved in research measuring the effects of restoration projects on biodiversity.
